Faculty Resources: Linking to Library Resources

Information about course reserves, information literacy instruction, class resources, and other resources for instructors

1. Where to Find Stable Links

Our databases will help you find stable links, which are sometimes called permalinks. Each database or publisher is a little different.

Click below for help finding and copying these links.

How to Build a Stable Link to Library Resources

Creating stable links to library resources is a two-step process:

  1. Find and copy the stable version of the link provided by the publisher.
  2. Use the link generator to adapt the link to Park's single sign-on system.

Which links need help?

EBSCO & JSTOR links automatically authenticate through Park's single sign-on system. You do not need to use the link generator with these.

Gale, ProQuest, Sage, & Wiley links do need to be modified. Use the link generator with these.

2. Create a "Park-Friendly" Link

Once you have copied the stable link from the publisher, simply paste it into the Open Athens Link Generator, located here.

Copy the new link provided by the Generator. This is the link you can embed in a course, an email, etc.
