Books shipped through ILL may come from various sources, so it might take from 5 to 7 working days to receive these requests.
A Park University library employee will call or email you if there is a charge involved. Usually, there is no charge for borrowing materials through ILL, but fees will be assessed for overdue, lost, or damaged items. Unreturned items and unpaid fees will result in holds on University transcripts.
When the item arrives, a Park University library employee will notify you at your Park email address.
The loan time is usually four weeks, but it varies depending on the library lending the item.
Some libraries will let you renew the book, but other libraries will not. Contact the Park University Library at (816) 584-6285 or send an email to OnlineILL@park.edu to ask whether your ILL items may be renewed.
Kansas City area students and employees may pick up requested books at the Norrington Center's information desk. Distance education students will have their requested books mailed to their indicated address. Requested articles will typically be e-mailed regardless of a student or employee's location.
The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material.
Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specific conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship or research."
If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of fair use, that user may be liable for copyright infringement. This institution reserves the right to refuse a copying order if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright law.
