About the Library

At a Distance

All of our services are available remotely:

  • Speak with a librarian online via Zoom, chat, or email.
  • Chat services are available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week during Fall, Spring, and Summer terms.
  • You can also call us at 800-270-4347 when the Norrington Center is open.

Books:

  • Over 95% of our collections are online.
  • Students who wish to check out a physical book and are not in the Kansas City area can have books mailed to them; we pay postage both ways.

Research:

  • Research tools and library catalogs can be found here.
  • You will find Library Guides within the Canvas shells of most of your courses. These guides can help you get started.

In Parkville

Stop by the new Norrington! Quiet study areas can be found on the second floor, while collaborative spaces are on the first. In addition to in-person research consultations, you are still welcome to meet with a librarian remotely using Zoom, email, or phone. Appointments are encouraged but definitely not required.

You can reserve a Huddle Room either on our website or from within the Norrington Center.

The Learning Lab has returned to normal use. If it has not been booked for a library or campus function, you are welcome to study there.

Food & drink are allowed in the Norrington Center with the exception of the Campanella Gallery. Out of respect to our artists, please leave your food and beverages elsewhere when you visit the gallery.

Campanella Gallery

The Campanella Gallery, located on the second floor of the Norrington Center, features exhibits from Park students and faculty as well as local artists. These exhibits are listed on the Park University Events Calendar.
