Questions to Answer to Assess a Source

Who is behind the information? Where is their funding from? What might their motivation be for presenting this info? What is their mission or perspective?  What’s the evidence? Is there evidence? What is the source of the evidence? Is it trustworthy? Is their enough evience to fully support the claim? What’s missing? Can you think of better evidence?  What do other sources say? What is the same? What’s different? What trends emerge? Do the sources agree or disagree? Why? What is the perspective of the other sources?
