Request Articles or Books
Request resources through InterLibrary Loan by filling out the appropriate forms linked below
Park University’s InterLibrary Loan services will be temporarily reduced from June 1st until August 17th due to staffing reductions.
- If you are a student, please utilize Pirate Search to find alternative resources that fit your needs. If you need assistance, please schedule an appointment with a librarian, or email us at library@park.edu.
- If you are a full-time faculty member, please utilize our ILL from to reqeust articles or books that support your research or course development process. ILL requests will be processed on Wednesdays. If you have questions or concerns about the status of your materials, please contact us at onlineill@park.edu.
- If you are a course developer or an adjunct faculty member, please schedule an appointment with Rose Adams to discuss your resource needs.
Thank you for your patience as we work to restore our interlibary loan services this summer. Full interlibrary loan services will resume August 17th, 2026.
Frequently Asked Questions
Books often take 5 to 7 working days to arrive from other libraries. Articles may take 5-7 days but may take longer.
A Park University Library employee will call or email you before completing the request if there will be a charge for requesting the item. This is rare.
Fees will be assessed for overdue, lost, or damaged items. Unreturned items and unpaid fees will result in holds on University transcripts.
When the item arrives, a Park University Library employee will notify you at your Park email address.
The loan time is usually four weeks, but it varies depending on the library lending the item.
Some libraries will let you renew the book, but others will not. Contact the Park University Library at (816) 584-6285 or send an email to OnlineILL@park.edu to ask whether your ILL items may be renewed.
Kansas City area students and employees pick up books at the Norrington Center book lockers. For others, we will mail your books to your address on file (postage paid both ways). Articles are sent to your Park email address as found in the library's records. If your address has changed, please contact us to update your information.

The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material.
Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specific conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship or research."
If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of fair use, that user may be liable for copyright infringement.
